Leadership Lessons from Paulo Coelho's "The Alchemist"

The  Alchemist is a novel written by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho.This novel was first published in 1988 in Portuguese language. After this, was translated in different languages. Later, it became international bestseller novel. Paulo Coelho wrote this novel in only two weeks.
According to The New York Times, 

The Alchemist is more self-help than literature.

The story of this novel is about  a young shepherd named Santiago who starts his journey in search of a treasure beyond his wildest dreams. During his way, he faces many hardships and difficulties. Inspite of such a difficult journey full of problems, he doesn't quit. During this he also learns to listen to his heart and realizes that his dreams are not just his but part of the Soul of the Universe. The main theme in The Alchemist is to pursue your dreams by following what your heart desires.
When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.

This novel was translated in urdu by Umar-al-Ghazali. This translation is too good and easy for a reader. He also included a introduction in the start the novel, in which he highlighted and explained the main theme of this novel.
